Pilates er eitt aðalsmerki Kramhússins undanfarin ár þar sem orðspor kennara hússins er gott og iðkendur vita hvaða sérstaða og gæði eru í boði. Pilates byggist á kerfisbundnum æfingum. Hver æfing virkjar kviðvöðvana og aðferðin leggur áherslu á að styrkja svæðið sem kallað er aflstöðin, þ.e. kviðinn, mjóhrygginn, ytri og innri lærvöðva og rassvöðva. Markmið Pilates er að styrkja stoðkerfið sem stuðlar að minni verkjum og aukinni orku.
Hefðbundið Pilates á mánudögum og miðvikudögum kl. 17:35-18:20 (byrjendur/miðstig)
Power Pilates á mánudögum og miðvikudögum kl. 18:20 – 19:05 (framhalds)
Hádegis Pilates á þriðjudögum og fimmtudögum kl. 12:15-13:00 (blandaður hópur)
Þátttakendum býðst að nýta sér alla græna laugardagstíma Kramhússins. Mikilvægt að muna að skrá sig í tímaskráninguna til að tryggja bæði pláss og öryggi.

Pilates is one of the hallmarks of Kramhúsið in recent years, where the reputation of the house’s teachers is quite good and practitioners know what specialties and qualities are available.
Pilates is based on systematic and well-thought-out exercises. Each exercise activates the abdominal muscles and the method focuses on strengthening the area called the power plant, the abdomen, lumbar spine, the outer and inner thigh muscles and the buttocks. Pilates largely avoids high impact, high power output, and heavy muscular and skeletal loading. The system keeps practitioners engaged in the material, is inspiring, fun and well-thought-out in order to strengthen a healthy body and make it one cohesive whole. After each class, people are relaxed, refreshed, and full of energy.
The main benefit of Pilates is strength, including central strength, concentration, coordination, rhythm, flow, breathing, and accuracy.
Regular Pilates Mondays and Wednesdays – 17:35-18:20 (beg./interm.)
Power Pilates at Mondays and Wednesdays 18:20 – 19:05 (advanced)
Noon classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:15-13:00 (mixed)
All participants are allowed to attend our green (open) classes on Saturdays.
It is important to register to each class as we offer some flow between Pilates classes and only a limited number of people are allowed into each class.
